Dr.Yurchenko is an expert in the area of NonlinearStochasticDynamics and Control, Vibrations mitigation, mathematical andexperimental modelling of complex dynamic system with applicationin railway and automotive engineering,renewable wave and tidalenergy, as well as energy harvesting using soft electroactive polymers.He obtained a PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from WorcesterPolytechnic Institute, USA on the development of stochastic optimalcontrol theory for dynamic multi-degree-of- freedom systems andsystems subjected to impact loading.He has published over 150scientific publications including peer-reviewed journals andconference proceedings.He is an Editorial board member ofMechanical Systems and Signal Processing.Int. J.of Dynamics andControl, Vibrations. Currently he holds EPSRC grant on the development of soft materialsvibroimpact energy harvesting device and the International Exchange Royal Society grant withChina.
